1 kilogram boneless pork ribs or pork belly
2 tablespoons Bertolli extra light olive oil
2.5 inch piece ginger, peeled and sliced into 0.5cm pieces
2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 star anise
1 stick cassia bark (substitute with a cinnamon stick)
1 cup water
400 grams trimmed green beans, cut into 2 inch pieces

4 (3/4-inch thick) bone-in pork center loin chops, trimmed
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons packed light brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

PINEAPPLE SALSA:

3 (1/2-inch-thick) crosswise slices fresh pineapple, trimmed
1 medium jalapeno, halved lengthwise- seeds and veins removed
1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice
